Orkney Highlights Full Day Tour
As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known as the “Heart of Neolithic Orkney”, there is a variety of attractions all guaranteed to make this trip something of wonder and beauty, where the sky, land and water converge together. On this tour you visit all 4 major sites of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, Skara Brae, Maeshowe, Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones of Stenness.
We also stop for lunch at the Orkney Brewery Cafe, a beautiful cafe that used to be a school.
We include a visit to the peculiar and characteristic Italian Chapel, built by Italian prisoners during the course of WW2. We also pass by the famous Churchill Barriers, which are fundamental for protecting the British Navy.
In addition to the programmed stops, we will pull up (circumstances permitting), in any place you want to admire, or where your guide suggests. Avoid strict, set in stone tours with fixed, programmed stops. We stop where you want, in addition to the guide’s recommendations.
Our philosophy is to promote personalised tourism. We understand the importance of carrying out the tours in a small vehicle and feel deeply about these kinds of itineraries.
