These are our main terms and conditions of service.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By reading the Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge, understand and agree to accept them.
Contact via enquiries for booking reservations. Should you need to make any changes to your booking please do so at your earliest convenience.
If you need to cancel your booking, Orkney Travel requires notification in writing (confirmed email is also acceptable). The 10% deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
All Tour prices will be shown on full tour itinerary. Please note that these are present costs and due to rising fuel costs and changes in admission prices may be subject to change. If there may be a change Orkney Travel will inform you in advance.
Orkney Travel vehicle occupancy minimum is two (2) persons per tour. One (1) person becomes a Bespoke Private Tour and prices will differ and be available on request. Tours are subject to availability.
To confirm your booking, Orkney Travel requires a 10% non-refundable deposit to secure booking. The remainder can be paid in full before the tour via the methods below or you can pay the remainder in cash on the day of the tour.
Payment can be made via BACs transfer, Cash or Cheque drawn on a UK Bank.
PayPal – Credit card payment via PayPal.
Please note that Payment methods may be subject to change.
Orkney Travel strongly recommends that you purchase comprehensive individual/family Travel Insurance. Orkney Travel will not be responsible for any losses, injuries or damages.
Should itineraries changes to a tour be necessary, or unforeseen circumstances occur then Orkney Travel will offer either an alternative tour or a full refund of money paid by Orkney Travel for the Tour.
In the case of adverse weather affecting tours/ferry sailings, when in Orkney an alternative tour will be offered, or a full refund will be payable. If adverse weather affects your journey to Orkney then Orkney Travel will refund the full cost or offer an alternative tour.
If for any reason your cruise ship does not dock in Orkney, a full refund will be given.
Many of the structures we visit are very old and are not maintained. Entering sites and structures is at your own risk. Orkney Travel will not cover any liability arising from persons entering such sites and structures.
Right to Refuse Service
Orkney Travel reserves the right to refuse service to any persons who cause a nuisance, conduct themselves in an offensive or disorderly manner, or threaten, in any way, theirs or the safety of others. In such a circumstance Orkney Travel will not be responsible for any damage or injury sustained by you as a result of your behaviour. Should Orkney Travel exercise our right to refuse service, you forfeit all money paid to Orkney Travel.
Orkney Travel would like to advise persons that no smoking is allowed inside the vehicle.
To the best of our knowledge, the information contained on the Orkney Travel website at the time of going to press in 2017 is correct.
