Island of Hoy Day Trip
Every Thursday - 10.40am start at Lyness Pier
The Island Tours of Hoy Standard Tour includes: The Hills of Hoy, Rackwick Bay, Cliffs & Beach where we stop for a picnic, then on to the Dwarfie Stane, Betty Corrigall's Grave, and a drive through designated wild land.
We will stop for free hot/cold drinks and snacks at Lyrawa Hill (111m) for breath-taking panoramic views of Scapa Flow. We also travel through the former World War 1 & 2 naval base and the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery for an opportunity to hear of Hoy's dramatic wartime history.
The tour will end with a short cliff top nature walk to view seabirds and amazing coastal geology or a visit to the Scapa Flow Visitor Museum (Opening May 2020) and then transfer back to the ferry at Lyness.
Please bring a packed lunch, we can supply a packed lunch at the extra cost of £10 per person.
