This tour combines wartime history, ancient Neolithic monuments, and dramatic coastal scenery — giving you a deep and varied insight into Orkney’s past and landscape.

Tour Highlights
- Scapa Flow - A scenic drive along Scapa Flow, used as a naval base during both World Wars
- Unstan Chambered Cairn - a guided visit to Unstan, a Neolithic burial chamber believed to be at least 5,300 years old

- Skara Brae- Guided Tour of Skara Brae, considered the best preserved Neolithic village in Northern Europe (optional visit and guided tour of Skaill House, one of Orkney's finest manor houses) Refreshment stop at the Skara Brae cafe
- Ring of Brodgar - Stone circle and henge monument estimated to be around 5, 000 years old. Originally made up of 60 standing stones 27 remain standing today
- Standing Stones of Stenness - The smaller of two stone circles you will visit, believed to be the oldest stone circle in the UK

- Brough of Birsay - A tidal island just off mainland Orkney which is accessible by causeway at low tide. It features Norse and Pictish runes and dramatic coastal scenery.
- Broch of Gurness - Iron Age complex complete with an impressive Broch tower surrounded by an iron age village. (entry fee's apply)
- Kirkwall Walking Tour - A guided walk through the main town in Orkney, including a guided tour of the 12th century St Magnus Cathedral.
- Maeshowe Chambered Cairn- A guided tour of a 5000 year old burial chamber, a fantastic tomb complete with Viking runes carved on the walls. (subject to availability, entry fee's apply)

Meeting Point Options: We can meet you anywhere in Orkney, including the airport, any ferry port and any accommodation.
This tour is also suitable if you are a cruise ship passenger and we can pickup from the cruise port.
